

Managed by the Flushing Council on Culture & the Arts,
Flushing Town Hall, a NYC and National Landmark building (1862) is Queens'
newest arts center, providing a variety of programs in the performing and
visual arts for residents and visitors to Queens, an arts education experience
for public school children, parents and teachers; and technical management
and support services to the Council's individual artists and member organizations.
Public programs include: rotating contemporary art and historical exhibitions
in 3 galleries, a Visitor's Center and Gift Shop, Friday evening weekly
jazz concerts, monthly classical music concerts, lectures, tours and ongoing
education programs for children and seniors.
Rehearsal and meeting spaces for cultural organizations are also available
for rental. Upon completion in 1997-98 of its entire restoration, Flushing
Town Hall will also offer a 300-seat theater, garden, parking lot and catering
facilities with full kitchen.
